Men's Squash Knocks Off Conn. College & Vassar

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - The George Washington men's squash team won both of its matches Saturday in the Vassar Invitational as the Colonials defeated both Vassar, 8-1, and Connecticut College, 6-3.
GW's top three players each recorded two individual match wins at the tournament as seniors Gregory Vernick (West Roxbury, MA/Milton Academy) and Tyler Wolas (Boca Raton, FL/Pine Crest), along with junior Ben Hoefs (Franklin, MI/Detroit Country Day) produced a win in each match.
Also posting two individual Colonials' victories in the tournament was senior Alex Popowich (Hellertown, PA/Moravian Academy) and freshman Bradley Birenbaum (Villanova, PA/William Penn Charter School).
GW returns to action Friday night, Feb. 10, when it travels to Annapolis, MD, to face Air Force at the Naval Academy.
